Scribblenauts Remix is the iOS version of the popular Scribblenauts game. This “remix” version incorporates 40 levels from the original two Scribblenauts games and 10 exclusive iOS levels. It reached a super popular level atop the paid app charts for a while; it costs $.99. If you don’t know, Scribblenauts allows you to take control of this guy Maxwell, who can create anything. Each level has Maxwell in a predicament that you must solve by conjuring whatever you feel to be necessary. This is accomplished by typing (with the provided keyboard) any object in the whole world, assuming it is appropriate. Although Scribblenauts is really meant for a child population, there are plenty of weapons that you can make. Furthermore, many of the beginning levels are so easy that they could become boring, however once you advance far enough it gets extremely hard to figure out without Googling the solution. And keep in mind that since you can create whatever you want, there are an infinite amount of solutions to every level. Be creative.
Scribblenauts Remix has this cool feature that in addition to recognizing just about every object in the solar system (both real and fictional), it knows adjectives too. So you’re at the bottom of a cliff. Try to use “ladder.” Oh no, it’s not large enough. No problem, next try a “big ladder.” Still too small. Okay, how about “huge ladder.” That should do the trick. I mean, until you play the game for yourself, you don’t get a feel for how impressive this game is. Whatever you can think up, you can actually use.
I would like some more level packs, and I’m sure they will come soon. Scribblenauts Remix is updated very frequently with snow for the winter, flowers for the spring, Easter eggs for Easter, etc. The most recent update even includes a simple mini-game at the beginning for you to play. Scribblenauts Remix can be pretty childish at times, but it really will make any person think hard to figure out a solutions, especially later on in the game. 8/10!
